Training
Program Development
Energy Technology and
Service utilizes the
LAWS (Learning
Assessment Work Sheet)
system of knowledge and
skills identification.
This is a formalized
assessment of the
knowledge and skills
needed to perform a
specific job function.
To be able to
create functional
training materials we
typically perform the
following tasks:
-
Identify
job function.
-
Observe
tasks being
preformed.
-
Videotape,
screen capture, and
document tasks.
Utilizing
the created training
material we then create
a custom workshop
formatted to minimize
impact on staffing
resources. The
goal of the workshop is
to familiarize the
management and
facilities staff with
the best practice for
cost reduction based on
research and analysis of
the data for the
project. This
in turn coupled with the
skills assessment will
allow us to create a
comprehensive training
program to provide the
maximum impact and
ensure that the affected
parties can accomplish
the goals of the
project.
Training
Target Audiences
The
training workshop are
structured to include
members from the
administration, staff,
and operations and
maintenance personnel to
maximize program
effectiveness.
The program may
also be adopted for FLEX
(Faculty In-Service)
widening dissemination
of energy conservation
efforts within the end
client’s system.
Training
Logistics
Presentations
and training materials
are made available for
end client’s system
wide dissemination.
A blended
training approach will
normally provide the
maximum impact for a
training program.
A CBT (computer
based training) module,
classroom (workshop)
module, and a functional
skills module are all
available to satisfy all
the learning styles.
